width=\"1000\" height=\"562\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Los cambios que se vienen produciendo en la Ant\u00e1rtida en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os tienen en vilo a los cient\u00edficos de todo el mundo<\/strong>, debido a que el deshielo en el continente blanco aument\u00f3 considerablemente en el \u00faltimo tiempo y <strong>son m\u00e1s frecuentes los desprendimientos de enormes bloques de hielo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>El derretimiento de los cascos polares adem\u00e1s de aumentar el nivel de los oc\u00e9anos, podr\u00eda multiplicar los eventos meteorol\u00f3gicos extremos y desestabilizar el clima en algunas regiones en las pr\u00f3ximas d\u00e9cadas<\/strong>, porque los miles de millones de toneladas de agua procedentes del deshielo podr\u00edan debilitar las corrientes oce\u00e1nicas que actualmente transportan el agua fr\u00eda hacia el sur, sumergi\u00e9ndola hacia el fondo del Atl\u00e1ntico y empujando las aguas tropicales hacia el norte, m\u00e1s argentinos avanzan en el estudio del cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos <strong>Sebasti\u00e1n Marinsek, Jos\u00e9 Seco y el grupo de glaci\u00f3logos del Instituto Ant\u00e1rtico Argentino (IAA) llevan a\u00f1os abocados al estudio<\/strong> del balance de masa y los cambios din\u00e1micos en glaciares, monitoreando la respuesta de las estructuras de hielo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>En esta Campa\u00f1a Ant\u00e1rtica de Verano (CAV-2018\/2019) instalaron una baliza y realizaron un pozo glaciol\u00f3gico en la barrera de Larsen C para determinar la acumulaci\u00f3n de la nieve ca\u00edda durante el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Las observaciones realizadas a lo largo del tiempo y en forma peri\u00f3dica son plasmadas en publicaciones
